About the Trust

The Trust was established in 1977, coinciding with the commencement of the Prairie Village subdivision. The Trust Agreement serves as the legal document regulating its operations. 501(c)(3) 

The Prairie Village Water System (PVWT) is private, not a public utility. It is owned by the residents of the Prairie Village Subdivision and is managed by three elected trustees. If you do not reside in the subdivision, you are considered a user of the system rather than an owner. The Village of New Prairie (NP) has no control over the PVWT. 

The Prairie Village Water Treatment (PVWT) serves the Prairie Village Subdivision, Roberts Woods, the Industrial Park, the Village, and the Broadlands, as well as Ferris Fields. 

Attached is a map showing the PVWT owners; unfortunately, everyone else is classified as a user. The owners are located within the area outlined by the black line on the map.
