About the Trust

The Prairie Village Water Trust (PVWT) was established in 1977, coinciding with the development of the Prairie Village subdivision. The Trust Agreement serves as the governing legal document for the organization. PVWT operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

PVWT is owned by the residents of the Prairie Village subdivision and is managed by three elected trustees. Individuals who do not reside within the subdivision are considered users of the water system rather than owners.

The Village of North Prairie and the Prairie Village Water Trust are separate entities.

Below is a map identifying PVWT ownership boundaries. Property owners located within the area outlined by the black line on the map are considered owners of the Trust. All others receiving service are classified as users.

PVWT provides water service to the Prairie Village subdivision, Roberts Woods, the Industrial Park, the Village, the Broadlands, and Ferris Fields.
